A client sent me a copy of Love in the Time of Cholera  by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, because she loves it so much.   I don't know if it's terribly geeky or touchingly connective that she knew I'd love to read it.

On my bop through the intarwebs I found a link for a Fresh Air interview with Chiwetel Ejiofor .  In it, Terry Gross plays a section of David Mamet's "Red Belt" film.  The selection includes Ejiofor's character basically showing a rape victim that  if she'd had the majik powers he can teach her, she wouldn't have been raped, which reminded me of
naamah_darling's excellent post on the  OSBP issue, including a link to
synecdochic's Don't be that Guy post.  [I haven't had much to say on this because everybody else is doing it so well.]

Bob the Goldfish continues to do well.
jaylake not so much.  Having recently spent lots of time in hospitals (and not, thank dieties, for me) I have to say I admire a man who can blog about hospital food - oh hell, can blog about ANYTHING - while enjoying the dubious hospitality and paper-thin garments inherent in involuntary vacations of the medical kind.

I'm really looking forward to Wiscon.

If five things make a post, you'll have to add the last one yourself.

wiscon, women, books! books! books!
