oh, wow, pour moi? this little bit of r/j goodness totally made my day, ice (oh, let me know if you prefer to go by something else), so thank you so very much! as always, the details in this are absolutely incredible, seriously one of the prettiest pieces i've ever read. like:
diamond earrings set on a cork coaster - ughhhhhhhhhh you've officially made me jealous of a fictional character's hair. go you.
taste of the moans she had uttered in his bed the night before was more potent than pomegranate nectar - *FANS SELF PROFUSELY*
on his abraded skin, they felt unbearably rough compared to the softness of her fingers against his cheek - i would pay to see some more of your silmil verse, woman, i bet it's stunning!
i am also terribly intrigued the hint of a/j we're getting here - how did they become roommates? how long has he been harboring this crush? and OF COURSE zeke knows, zeke knows all, sneaky bastard that he is. i love it. i love that serenity's real name is even more ridiculous and hippiesque than her nickname. i love that joel unwinds with mad men and a glass of wine - a guy after my own heart! i love how the veil between dream and reality feels just as thin to the reader as it does to joel, so vivid is your description. really, i just love this whole thing, and i love it all the more for joel's little ana-crush because non-canon pairings not-so-secretly make my heart sing :) fabulous job - i can visualize the whole snippet perfectly!

thank you for your wonderful comments!! i am so glad you liked it. i am always jealous of rei's hair :D my silmil verses always seem to fall to pieces/get boring quick, so i think the four heavenly queens verse is probably the closest i'm going to get to it.
i imagine them becoming roommates through some circuitous/fortuitous misunderstanding where ana was looking for a female roommate since her last one bailed after they signed the lease, and minako sprung joel on her, promising he would be perfect. she's still not entirely sure why she or joel said yes, but they agree that minako tends to have this effect on people :) the crush would have developed sometime after he moved in and before he found out about zeke, and how long ago that was of course depends on how long my brain can handle the idea of a/z being in a dysfunctional on-again, off-again relationship before combusting ;) i guess now what must be decided is who's going to win out, canon and the forces that are giving joel these dreams are going to win out or the non-canonness!
apsara is perfectly fine, but frankly, you can call me ham sandwich as long as you keep giving me all this ficcy goodness ;D i'm loving the background info - and the idea of ana and zeke in a dysfunctional relationship! i can TOTALLY see that, especially on z's side. *swoon* but hey, anything that gets r/j closer makes me happy, so...count me in for the forces of canon? i guess? *twiddles thumbs*
