I scored a hit on Hunter! Yes, she then gave me a bad cut on the face and finally more or less removed my arm, but I got her. And she said I did well. I did well.

... I think Victor fancies me. What am I going to do?

She grinned through her embarassment. He mentioned this to all of these people! She's too shy for this! She felt herself blushing and she held onto her paintbrush.

"Look, I told you. Not a problem. Besides, all I did was make an offhand comment about ages. My feelings aren't hurt at all. I don't know what gave you the impression that they were. And...and making assumptions isn't very nice."

"Er. I'm sorry?" He gives her an awkward smile. "I worry about things too much."

"It isn't a problem." She took a deep breath. "I just...all the people. And now...yeah."

"It's just my friends. They won't say anything about it, I swear. I trust them."

"Okay," she whispered. She repeated it, a little bit louder, "Okay. I go through great lengths not to get funny looks, is all. Gettin' looked at funny for being eccentric is okay...but some looks I can't stand. Thank you."

He gives her a rather timid hug. "I'm sorry."

"It's not a problem, Richard." She patted his back reassuringly.

"Are you sure? I've kind of been an idiot."

"No you haven't."

[warriormayhew]

"Well, yes, I have. Often." He smiles wryly.

She shook her head. "I don't think that you have. At least not that I've noticed."

"I've been improving."

[victormakesart]

"I'm sure."

[warriormayhew]

He nods. "I still backslide on occasion, though," he says with a sigh.

"It happens to everyone. Sometimes I lose my temper. We're only human."

"Yeah."
