First, I'm starting off w/ my new favorite song from her recent album. It's called My Own Worst Enemy. I think a lot of us can relate to this. ;) The MP3 was ripped from the CD I got as a gift.

Ok... now for the concert review from the San Francisco show on 8/14/08.
I drove to San Francisco w/ 3 friends and Justin. :) When we got there, we immediately saw Idina's tour bus. That was very exciting. Then, we went in and a guy in front of us was trying to give away a ticket for 2nd row because his friend ditched him. That was messed up. We got inside and talked about random stuff. My friend, Adria, and I were so excited. We recently went to Idina's show in San Diego on 6/20/08. =D So, we were wondering how this one was going to go. We got to our seats... oh yeah. We had 2nd row too! Literally, the stage was less than 2 ft away. It made me think that Arashi should perform there! xD More intimate w/ the audience, you know? :) Justin and my friend, Hajime, had row T which was back there. Still, it was small so it was still good! For a while, we played with our cell phones. xD Adria got the Iphone and that's a neat little device. The lights dimmed after 30 minutes....
Her opening was Leroy Bell. OMG! This guy was hot! His music was very soothing and I was tempted to go buy a CD. His bandmate was trying to advertise like a salesman which was funny! His voice was so perfect! I never heard of this guy till that day and I'm now a fan! KYAAAA!!! So, if you want more info, go to either:
http://www.leroybell.comhttp://www.myspace.com/leroybell I guess this is what it's called intermission... we waited another 30 minutes and talked about the guy. The gay couple next to me bought the CD. Man, they were so hot... too bad they were gay. ^^ Anyways, they said the CD was $20 and even got it signed by him. I kinda wish I went over to meet him and get some music. Then, the lights dimmed again...
The band came out first - keyboard player, guitarist, bassist, acoustic guitar player, and 2 back up singers. Then, the announcer introduced Idina and she came out. She was wearing these tight black pants and they looked really good. Her top was a long-sleeved colorful top. She's very tiny. I Stand was the song she started with and then she would go on the parts of the stage she wasn't supposed to. xD I have to remember the songs she played again but of course, there's Defying Gravity which was encore at the end (from Wicked). She sung a song from Rent which was really good! =D She told her stories about being a bar mitzfa (sp?) wedding singer and her sister. Devorah was a good song that she wrote about her. Anyways, the concert was AWESOME!!!! I suggest buying tickets to go watch her and she's very down to earth compared to most artists. Her voice really projects well on stage!!!!
So, after the concert, we waited for 2 more hours for her to come out of the stage door. I met a couple of people who I didn't get the names. --;;; Stupid me. She came out and they moved us to the tour bus. I was actually in front and was seriously touching her when she was doing some autographs. Yet, I didn't get one because other girls pushed their stuff from behind. I WAS THIS CLOSE!!!!!! I didn't squeal or anything though... I was very quiet cause I didn't want to startle her. I was wondering if I intimidated her because she actually was shorter than me which surprised me. I don't know. xD Yet, I talked to Adria and she said that she's only 5'4". My mouth dropped because I'm 5'5" - 5'6".
Even though I didn't get an autograph, I was very happy to see her upclose and somewhat interacting. :) I need to get the set list for this concert. OK.. that was my review! hehehe
