I am 34 years old and I have just realized that i love mayonaise. I've always thought I hated it, but I had it mistaken for that other whitish semi-gelatenous goo in a similar jar - Miracle Whip. Miracle Whip is sick. Mayo is subtle, willing to work well with other flavors, perfect. I've never really embraced sandwiches because they always seemed dry. Mayonaise is like a moisturizer for your sandwich. My new love of this stuff has really opened the door to alot of sandwich opportunities. Sadly my cholesterol level will never be the same. And neither will my waist I'm sure. If I managed to develop this much pudge in a life without mayo, I fear what the future may bring to my tum.
I really only started this entry so that I could jot down this fantastic recipe for a chicken salad that i just whipped up.
1 can chicken (because we can't afford the real deal this week)
red onion, chopped fine
black olives, chopped fine
mayo - lite
salt & pepper
2 splashes of lite Greek Feta dressing
Toasted kaiser roll, pile on lettuce and salad mix. Slight sprinkle with parmesean cheese.
*would have been better with real chicken, and maybe some feta instead of parm.
