Part 10
The feeling of the hot water on her muscles was so soothing; Willow could feel her body finally relaxing under the shower. Last night had been a roller coaster of emotion she felt as if she had been run over by truck, a truck loaded with news. So much to process “Tara is back, so beautiful…Oh God, last night dressed in that nightgown…wow…she

I'm not making a case for Kennedy here, but I really do think she can be a better person… or at least try. For Willow.
I really like the fact that she can admit she made a mistake and is willing to apologize for that. THAT is a good attitude for Kennedy.
Maybe she IS kind of a spoiled brat. But maybe she's also more than just that. Maybe she can prove herself to be more than that. I mean, in the show, she did something important for Willow, which was help her overcome her own guilt and darkness. She also completely trusted Will when even Buffy, Xander and everyone else were kind of.. still wary, right? She's definitely a risk-taker, and at least for Willow she's ready to go all the way and fight all the battles, even the ones part of her knows she already lost.
Plus, and this is going to be a little personal, if there is one thing that attracts us innocent girls to those snobby brats is the tiny possibility that you can be the ONE person they'll care about, utterly respect and die for and, more than that, be secretly nice to...
... or maybe that's just me and my Emma Frost obsession... never mind that...
But it COULD work.
She's a bitch to everyone else, comes off as standoffish (not that I even know what that means) snobby little brat, but is also fiercely protective of Willow, loves the redhead with every living potential cell in her being.
And should Willow be so... understanding?
Everyone knows how wonderful and perfect Tara is...
... but she DID hide some very important things from Willow.
And while she wasn't willing to take her chances with the redhead and help her face the darkness - not that she didn't have her reasons, specially in THIS particular storyline - Kennedy was there.
IN FACT, Kennedy could very well be the anchor to Willow's powers! The one who helped the redhead through the bad. And since Willow is forever going to have to deal with the fact that Faith is kind of a parent to HER kid, Tara is going to have to deal with the fact that the annoying to-be-slayer was the one who managed to help Willow overcome her darkness.
I guess I can totally see this more mature Faith here. And I kind of expect a more mature and centered Willow too. I mean, after the whole surprise factor and hey kid! factor wears out, I hope we can see how much this Willow has evolved... It's not fair that only Tara comes all glamurous and motherlike and friggin perfect saint while Willow is the same awkward kid with obsessions no one understands or trust. She deserves some understanding too!
... and sorry! That's what you get for encouraging me to write! I might be less passionate next time.
But you just... got me very involved in this story and I kind of... burst =P
I'm really curious as to how it'll play out =D
Great job!
