My dream
More lately, I've found myself dreaming of winning the lottery or elsewise coming into a large *arguably ridiculous* sum of money. I've dreamed of what I'd do and I figured it'd be a wise idea to write this out for myself. The scale of some of these would of course depend on the exact amount I'd recieved:
1) Take care of family. Give a good portion to my Parents, my Brother and Sister in Law, my Sister and her boyfriend , and make sure they're all good and set so they can live their lives relatively free of financial difficulty.
2) Invest another large portion trhough the banks in a fashion that would allow for the interest to be lived off of for the rest of my natural life.
3) Give some to good friends, priority going towards friends who have some measure of financial difficulty but still trying to be as giving as possible.
4) Facilitate a move out of my parent's home to somewhere. Either into Ottawa the city proper, or out East (I've a specific spot in mind down there in Nova Scotia). This is so my parents can have the house to themselves, whether they choose to sell or keep it after
5) Donate to several organizations which I feel compelled: The first being the SCA at Canton, Barony and or Kingdom levels, as well as actually get my membership. Especially in the Canton, the SCA has been a relatively good experience for me and I'd feel ill at odds if I didn't give back to it. I also know I would offer funds towards LaszloKovacs' Key Pixel crew towards film projects and the acquisition of assets. *plus if I had enough space where I moved I would avail my residence to them as a studio*
6) *Optional* Fund a foray into the development of my Diceless RPG engine/system as a product that people can purchase and would use in Roleplaying Games. While again this'd depend on the resulting costs of the other 5 steps, I know it's something I could do on my own time and with my own money if I had the right amounts to work with.
