Blessed
Well yesterday I checked my mail box here at school and found a letter. I read the letter and it was telling me what financial aid I had recieved for this school year. I was confused as to why they sent me this since I had already gotten it at the begining of the fall semester. So I went to the financial aid office and asked them what was going on and apperantly I got a grant because I am a recipeant of a pell grant, I am enrolled in at least 12 hours, and I have a GPA above 3.0. I was awarded 650 dollars for each semester. I had a bit of debt left from this semester so it finished off what I had to pay and I got 236.25 from this semester and in addition to that I get a full refund from last semeser which will 650. In a few days I will recieve a check for 886.25.
I don't know what to do with all of this money I know I am going to put a lot to the side for the future most likely for a rainy day. There are a lot of things I want like :
1. Wii
2. new tattoo
3. guitar strings
4. a nice dinner
5. a full tank of gas
6. jones soda stock
7. Wii play(a video game)
I feel very blessed to have this money. A few days Kari and I were discussing how I am sick and tired of living from pay check to pay check I was. Now I don't know what to do with it. Should I save it all/ SHould I treat myself to a few goodies and save the rest? Should I just buy what I really want and invest in what is left over?
I thought having money would fix problems but it doesnt it just complicates things even more. I thought it would be nice to have this money but it seems like I will still be living from pay check to pay check but it will be nice knowing that there is money for me to fall back on.
