Things of note... to me anyway.
A couple things of note that I wish to elaborate on.
I sent Jon out of bed in the early hours of the morning (a feat in itself) to rescue a rosella. I had seen the injured bird sitting quietly on the verge on my way to catch the bus for work. Apparently it got a bit more lively when Jon was trying to catch it to take to the vet. It may have also been slightly suicidal since it keep running into traffic. The same traffic that a ranger happened to caught in. Upon seeing Jon and the bird dancing around akwardly they stopped and rendered some assistance. The bird was then taken to the appropriate vet. Meanwhile I worried about the bird all day whilst I was at work.
Last night was the first clear night that the comet would be visible. It was also the night that we were going to Jon's parents for dinner. It was also the night when Jon's parents were hoping he would clean out one of his cupboards. They got half there wish while I ended up with a bunch of junk, ahem... I mean things precious to Jon, in the back of my car. Strangely engough even with all this occuring we still managed to see the comet. On our way back home we drove to some exiled porting of the highway and stopped to look at the night sky. The comet's tail was actually larger than I thought it would be. I may try to grab my telescope and have a look at it again tonight.
