One thing Netflix really has going for it is a wealth of stand-up comedy on the streaming service. New stuff and old stuff. Watched a bunch of good Louis CK stuff lately, a great Doug Stanhope special, lots of Richard Pryor.
Saw a 1987 Sam Kinison special the other day that was pretty interesting, not least because of the fucking astounding hairdos and fashions on display in the audience. Kinison's actual material from back then is...variable, I guess you could say. The AIDS bits have aged very poorly, to be kind. The raging misogyny is not bad if you're into that sort of thing. The pussy-eating bits are still pretty great, and all the more amazing when you see that his mother was there in the audience.
