FA ads...

I suppose FA's gone to an almost-normal ad serving script. This is good! In Firefox, ABP and Easylist pick up the /specjs.php script, block it, and you never see ads. My add-on rules are now obsolete. Yay, no more regexp processing. That's expensive, don'tcha know.

But, they finally have an adblock extension for Chrome. I'm trying that out! But there, it's not so simple. Due to the limitations of the Chrome API (or the author's coding skills), the script gets loaded and run before the extension can kill it. So you see ads. The solution is to go back to blocking the images themselves. Fortunately, that's now easy since FA has spread things out to make the site suck less. The magic words are:
