I'm sure you guys have seen my status about the end of Warped.
This has been a long time coming and I've been back and forth about it, which is why I haven't been around. It's really hard for me because this place has been around almost ten years. I didn't expect so many people to care about it closing down though, honestly. So I would like to turn this place into a GPSL instead. Maybe it'll be permanent, maybe I'll reopen in a few months (maybe this place just needs a fresh start idk), maybe I won't, but for whoever is interested, this is what is happening for the time being:
Warped RP will not be accepting new characters as of January 1, 2014. Part of my reasoning for this is that this community has simply just been around too long with a bad reputation and it is like pulling teeth to get people in here. I remember when we had like 100 characters at one point. It makes me not care when this place just constantly gets shit on.
If you would like to continue these storylines in a group setting, please feel free. I will most likely be continuing mine to some extent. You are more than welcome to stay friended to each other and use the side communities, it will just be a more closed setting. But let's face it, it already is.
Because of this shift, I will no longer be regulating MPREGS and other related functions. So have at it, kids.
There will no longer be update checks.
I'm not kicking you guys out, I know this is home to some people. It's home to me. I'm getting a little choked up just writing this. But it's been a long time and there are a lot of factors going into this. I started this community in 2006 out of sheer boredom and I can honestly say that it saved my life. I don't know any of you personally, as I've used an alias to prevent close relationships but the days of that, of hiding, of leaning on this place, are over. You may see me pop up in other communities and I may actually let myself be known by my real identity. Who knows, that's a big step for me. Anyway, I guess I just wanted to thank you guys for everything. This community has been...monumental in keeping me sane all these years.
With that being said, it's been fun guys.
Feel free to ask questions and make any comments or suggestions. Again, I'm not kicking anyone and I'm not deleting this place so I'll still be watching. As well as signing back onto my characters too!
