the stove ran away and other such nonsense
so i really really wanted chinese food yesterday. i mean i was seriously jonesing for some beef lo mien and a nice greasy egg roll. and after having scoured my apartment, my car, and my backpack i'd even managed to find seven dollars. only problem was that my seven bucks was completely and utterly comprised of change (50 percent of which was pennies or nickles). so after debating how much it would piss off the chinese food people to get paid in all change i figured that it probally wasn't the best of ideas to piss off the people making my food. so craving or not it was time for plan two.
plan two being taking that diced chicken outta the freezer and fixing myself up some nice greasy and spicy chicken fajitas. Fajitas while not chinese food are most definetly yummy and have their own merits. so i managed to convince my self to want fajitas instead. i was even excited to go home and cook them for myself, a real rarity. But when i got home there was another issue.
No stove top to cook on. My room-mate had stayed home for the day and gone on a rather random and unexpected cleaning spree leaving the stove parts sitting in the sink in about half a foot of water. i was tired i was sore and after she threw away my chicken tenders last week i was in no mood to finish up what she had started. so i had to find something microwavable which if i still had those chicken tenders wouldn't have been as big of a deal. but like i said she randomly threw them away last week, so no dice. instead i had to eat microwaved tomato soup.
tomato soup is not chicken fajitas, and it is most definetly not chinese food. tomato soup is what you eat when you're sick and can't cook cause you'd throw up or drip into the pan. tomato soup sucks ass. but i chocked down my soup and didnt say a word to my roomie even when she came in and started asking me about doctors later. and i didnt say anything when she left for ocean city last night either. and the damn stove is still in the sink in the water this morning. all i can do is hope she gets to it at some point tonight, cause if its there tommorow i'm gonna scream.
