I got this article out of the Coal Valley News this week. It was written about one of my favorite bands by one of my friends. So here it is.

Out of Nowhere: Boone County sensation

"To come out of a small community like Madison, with the mentality, skill, and commitment to make it big is quite an accomplishment. This is what the four good 'ole boys' of Out Of Nowhere, a local hardcore punk band, are planning to do. Out Of Nowhere consists of Sheldon Vance of Logan, Josh Pritchard of Madison, Bob Chapman of Madison, and Josh Parsely of Madison.
In December of 1999, a group of kids got together with the intentions of making music. What they didn't realize, however, was that they would one day end up playing for as many as 600 people at a time, and in hundreds of bars, clubs, and parks all over the East Coast. Over the next few years, Out Of Nowhere will play a number of shows in the Southern West Virginia Area, developing one of the most loyal and largest local fan bases around.
Sheldon Vance, one of the two founding members still in the band, is on rhythm guitar and lead vocals. His fellow band mates esteem him as the heart of the group, and an amazing songwriter, with influences such as Greenday, Minor Threat, and Johnny Cash. Sheldon, at 24 and the oldest of the group, keeps the bands business in order and disipline under control.
Josh Pritchard (#1), the bands other remaining founding member, is 19 years of age and plays drums. He has very rapidly become one of the best and fastest drummers in the area, being influenced by greats such as Steve Gadd, Zak Starkey, and Keith Moon.
Josh Parsley (#2), 19, and Bob Chapman, 21, joined the band later on. Josh #2 is on lead guitar and backup vocals. The darker edge of his guitar sounds has definitely added a kick to the bands live performance. The addition to Bob Chapman on bass made this local band a hit. They impress everywhere they go withtheir musical compatibility and stage presence.
In 2003, Out Of Nowhere played a total of 150 shows, and they kicked off 2004 with a two-month, 47-date tour covering the east coast and mid-west. This band has no intent to slow down until they are nation wide success! "We will never quite and we will die before we will," said Josh Parsley, lead guitar.
Of the shows Out Of Nowhere has played over the past few years, the best one is said to have been a small concert at the Danville Community Center. Only around 150 fans showed up, but they sang along and showed the band how much their music really means. "It made us really feel good," said Parsley. No matter how famous they get, we know Out Of Nowhere will always come back to the local fan base that was there with them from the beginning."

Well, there it is. Woo Hoo! Watch them go! Lol.
