lost in the sound of separation

I love extended breaks where I don't have to do anything.  The biggest event I have is my younger sister's high school graduation.  Besides that, I will be amassing mad money from tutoring people in math (actuarial exam prep included).  I haven't heard back from Lockheed Martin yet.

And since I have so much free time, I already planned my junior fall...:

Math 122: Abstract Algebra I ::
I took analysis (math 116) this past year instead of taking algebra. So now I'm taking algebra this year! Woohoo!

Stat 210: Probability Theory ::
I liked Stat 110 a lot. In fact, it was the best class I've taken at Harvard, largely because Joe Blitzstein is an OG. Stat 210 is going to be MUCH harder, since it's a graduate school course.  Either this or math 122 will be my hardest class.

EPS 7: Introduction to Geological Sciences ::
My secondary (minor) is earth and planetary sciences. This class will be cool. Field trips!

Foreign Cultures 46: Caribbean Societies---Cultural Change and Socioeconomic Adaptations ::
I need to knock out a core requirement or else, if I don't complete the "core curriculum", I won't graduate. Secondly, I heard that it was a great class--it's interesting with a light workload. Lastly, I'm Jamaican-American, meaning that if I do badly in this class, then something is really wrong. That would be the equivalent of my dad, who is now a doctor, taking biology now and subsequently failing.

Quantitative Reasoning 28: The Magic Of Numbers ::
"What the hell are you doing?"
--A math major who heard what I was planning to do--

So yeah, five classes for my junior fall, if all are offered. Combine that with club soccer, a course assistant job for math 21 (multivariable calc and linear algebra) or math 116, and comedy writing, and it looks as if I'll have my hands full. Whatever, at least I may like all those classes. That doesn't happen often.  Normally I have one terrible class.

I wanted to learn Serbo-Croatian next year, but I can't find such a course. LAME!
