1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?: Tried alcohol, drove for a long period of time, lived on my own.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?: I don't have resolutions.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?: No
4. Did anyone close to you die?: Eh, a friend of mine died, if that counts.
5. What countries did you visit?: None this year, but Canada in 2008 :-).
6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?: iPhone, new car, business empire, girlfriend (no I am not desperate)
7. What dates from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?: May 22 (graduation day), May 14 (turning 18), Feb 7 (last high school soccer game---I don't care much, but I will remember it forever, because I will probably never again play on an organized team)
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?: Winning every math contest in Florida. USAMO isn't an achievement because I had already qualified in the past. Graduating from high school's pretty huge too.
9. What was your biggest failure?: Anything that had taken place in the second semester of senior year, although if I witnessed how I acted, I would give myself a round of applause.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?: I suffered from severe recurring headaches for a few weeks near the end of the year.
11. What was the best thing you bought?: Halo 3, Blood Brothers t-shirt
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?: That of my dad
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?: Almost everybody else's
14. Where did most of your money go?: Food, games
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?: It depended on where I was. In Florida, I was excited about going to I-Drive/Disney/Universal or trekking outside Orlando, but in Boston, I became really excited for the weekend. Oh shoot, I was excited the most about leaving for college.
16. What song will always remind you of 2007?: Semi-constructive Criticism by Circa Survive. I listened to it nonstop during the summer of 2007.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you: i) happier or sadder?: happier ii) thinner or fatter?: fatter iii) richer or poorer? richer ;).
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?: I should have went to the beach.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?: Wasting time with certain lame motherfuckers.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?: Well this past Christmas I went to Jacksonville with my family. To be honest, it sucked.
22. Did you fall in love in 2007?: No. I haven't yet.
23. How many one-night stands?: Nah, I'm not into having sex with random people.
24. What was your favourite TV program?: THE BOONDOCKS.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?: Yes.
26. What was the best book you read?: Watership Down
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?: I would have to go with Scary Kids Scaring Kids for alternative. I didn't find any new brilliant hip hop artists.
28. What did you want and get?: Independence, happiness.
29. What did you want and not get?: Sex (LOL).
30. What was your favourite film of this year?: Juno, The Transformers, No Country For Old Men
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?: I turned 18, and I do not remember. Sorry =/.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?: That is a difficult question. Let me get back to you on that...
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006?: It really has not changed much, except I tend to wear t-shirts over turtlenecks now.
34. What kept you sane?: You have no idea how great it was to have an x-box 360 in my dorm room. That has helped me get through college.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?: Natalie Portman this time around.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?: Nationalization of health care. I hope this doesn't happen.
37. Who did you miss?: I don't miss anybody. It's not that I'm some social outcast, but missing people would imply I wanted to be with them. I'm ready to start anew, with money to help of course.
38. Who was the best new person you met?: Umm that's hard because I've met a lot of great people this year. John Regan because he brings the jokes?
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2007: You cannot always do it alone.

And I chose those lyrics because the year 2007 is the year I think I matured the most. And also, more than anything, it included a lot of endings. My childhood effectively came to an end. I moved out of Florida and started living on my own. Also my interests have drastically changed from those of a year or two ago.
