Before you pity a single person, you should ask yourself: would you pity a person who stays single for five years or would you pity the single person who fell in love, married and have kids within five years but ends up in a divorce?

The same starting point, a different process, a similar ending point - both of which, you can’t turn back time.

I don’t know if everyone can very confidently say they’ll choose one path over another. At least I know I can’t.

Happy looks different on everyone but happy looks good on everyone 🙂

P.s. Of course, life is much more complicated than a binary outcome and there’s also the possibility of one being married for five years and continues to be happily married after but single / attached / married is a relationship status - not a happiness index and maybe it’s high time society normalizes that.
