alright.. so i haven't been updating. it's only because i haven't had internet access for the longest time. anyway, what do i update about this time? yeah.. dance parties. events. or whatever else you would like to call them.

i have posted here before that i will be going to the DJ Tiesto event. and i DID. it was so surreal. not beacuse i was high on anything, but because it was just so surreal in a way that to think, last year, i was only watching him in DVDs (pirated ones at that) and NOW i finally have a chance to see him perform LIVE with the same people i was with the first time i heard about and "saw" him.

i know this is a verrry late update and all, but it's something i don't want to NOT blog about. so here goes.

i was SOBER that night. and i was upset because i noticed that though there were a lot of people who turned up for the event (10.000 i believe), only a few actually DANCED. i mean fine, Tiesto does have the tendency to play trance tracks that aren't mainstream, but come on.. he's one of THE best DJs in the world. intoxicated or not, there is no reason to NOT dance.

i hated it that by the time he appeared at his booth, most of the people did nothing but whip out their cameras and/or cellphones to take a shot of him. actually, it was that way for most of the night. really makes you think if the crowd was there for the music or the hype. i've noticed that it's this way with most events, starting with Paul Van Dyk, then Tiesto then Kaskade tonight.

it is fucking annoying to hear some of the world's best dance music being played out and see the people just in the middle of the dance floor or in the VIP section JUST STANDING and TAKING PICTURES. what the fuck, people.. why aren't you dancing?!?!?!?!?

so most of the people were stoned and doing good renditions of vegetables at the side of the venue. FINE. i know how that feels. but GOOD GOD, if you're going to bother paying for the entrance fee, you might as well have the energy to at least jump around!!!

*sigh*

anyway.. Tiesto. what a dream. and i didn't even have to be on anything. on the HELLA ANNOYING side though, none of my friends nor i brought a camera with us. FUCK!!! but i gather that this is what the people saw:

those aren't the images in my head, though. by the time Tiesto played "Beautiful Things" by Andain (which in my opinion is the BEST track in his Nyana album), i managed to muscle my way through the crowd and position myself in front of him, THE ONLY GOD TO BE WORSHIPPED THAT NIGHT. i just knew that there was no way that i was going to let the night pass without watching him play that particular song. aside from him, i was there for that track for the most part.

"and i forgot that i could see
so many beautiful things.."

I LOVE YOU!!!!! MARRY ME!!!

tonight, i was at the Kaskade shindig at the Coconut Palace. no, i didn't bring a camera with me either. i had a hell lot of fun though, even if i wasn't with any of my friends (just my brother and his friends).

terrific and wholesome house music in a fantastic venue. of course, it's summer already and i was only glad that i decided to wear a tube top and jeans.. nothing dressy at all, because it's too damn hot to be wearing anything else, i just wanted to hear the music. the PhP800.00 was worth it. i can only wish that we have more events held in outdoor venues.

anyway.

i hope everyone has a Holy Week worth praying about :)

party hearty
