i had an awful case of dysmennorhea (how do we spell this again?) the whole day yesterday.. in fact it only subsided an hour ago. at first i texted my office to tell them i was going to be late and my supervisor told me to make it by 5 (at that time, there are only 3 of us on the floor) or else the "traffic department" would have our heads. unfortunately, by 5pm, i was still throwing up everything i put in my mouth, water included. so i texted again, apologizing because i couldn't make it na talaga. can't wait to face them later.. *cringes*
and the thing is, they'll probably blame it on the fact that i have been going out a lot again. what they don't know is, at this time of the month, my body's put to the test of ultimate pain that only giving birth could probably overdo. argh. unfair.

over drinks, loud dance music circa 2000 (what the...) and body-grinding people in dusk last friday night, one of the girls from work (who i've recently gotten close to) admitted that she never expected for us to become friends. usual chorva. then she told me that a lot of people found me weird when i started working there because of how i dress.. you know, no set style and with outfits causing them to give me different nicknames almost everyday, depending on what i'm wearing, like "the principal" (because my hair was put up in a bun), "prom queen" (eh?? i don't recall ever wearing a gown to work), "mano po"(because of chinese-inspired top), among others. hmm. weird pala ako. should i be sorry that i ignore shops like Bayo, Kamiseta and HerBench (although these places are nowehere near bad, i just find them a little overpriced.. then again, everything is overpriced compared to ukay) because i don't want to risk looking like somebody else? hell no. and then she also told me that people are actually surprised to find out that i'm not bitchy as they first expected.
it's mostly amusing and i'm glad people at work are getting over their initial doubts of talking to me but what's not amusing is 1 rumor that one unbearable female supervisor spread to the other program. she said that she saw "this couple kissing in the pantry, my god!" and insinuated that it was me and this guy who used to court me (who i busted because i'm not into this whole office romance thing, nor was i into him). yuck. i do a lot of shit, but i will vehemently stay away from making that sort of scandal in the workplace.
this is what i find ultimately corny in callcenters. cheap scandals that no one bothers to check for validity. as long as some people can talk about something, they will. not that i'm affected, i'm just disappointed. can't they come up with something more creative to say about me? like you know, "guess what, i just heard that iza actually uses her brain! would you believe it?!"
anobah.
