i'd love to take advantage of all these market discounts floating around, but unfortunately it turns out money market funds aren't all they are cracked up to be.
deposits to the "Reserve" http://www.reservefunds.com funds are...well...missing.
you may have heard of these guys when they "broke the buck" and suddenly their dollars were worth 97 cents. but that's not the real news. their dollars are actually worth nothing, should you need them now.
these people claim to be innovators. i guess that's true, if refusing redemption requests is an "innovation". the SEC's on board, of course, so that's really who's to blame.
