It was quite a week. School went pretty well, and the workbox system worked beautifully, except for Thursday... The LM noticed that I had given her a 10 minute break, and Nesterino a 20 minute one. She had an absolute meltdown. She got to spend her break in her room. I explained to her that she has more to do than he does, and that they will not always have the same things do. The reason he had an extra 10 minutes, is that she does reading after her break, and I need to listen to her. When she is done, then we work on his reading. Part of me is tempted NOT to put the times down like that again; however, the "she needs to deal with it" part of me is going to do it.
Also, this week, the LM said, "I don't need to do math anymore. I already know all of it." My response to that was, "OK, tomorrow we are doing differential equations." She said, "What's that?" I said, "See, you don't know everything!"
A little bit of good news for my friend's husband, who had the brain hemorrhage: this morning he was able to squeeze her hand and respond to some simple instructions! This is the first time he responded on his own, since before his surgery on Monday. Unfortunately, he has a MRSA infection in his lungs, so he's on heavy meds for that. Keep praying that he will fight the infection and be able to come back fully functional.
oropher_777 had to move out of her apartment this weekend. Her folks helped her greatly, and Big Joker went over yesterday and helped some. I want to smack her lender into next week!
Last night was a LM's recital. Following is the video. Unfortunately, the video was not shot at a good angle, so it's not the best view of her. You can't see hardly at all, but I'll assume that my friends will guess that it's me on the bass viol.

Yesterday, the LM was upset and crying, because Nesterino was beating her in a Wii game. Big Joker was having a talk with her, and she wanted a tissue. The box was empty, so Big Joker used his shirt to wipe her tears. She proceeded to grab his shirt and blow her nose on it! I'll bet he won't be doing that again, anytime soon!
We had the usual suspects over lunch today, minus the Munchkin. I had Thai Masaman curry chicken, salad and a chocolate decadence cake. The cake is a real winner. It is very simple (12 oz chocolate, 1.5 sticks of butter, 4 eggs and 1/2 cup of sugar. It gets baked in a round pan and is very rich. As I am a woman of few ingredients and little time, this works for me!
