1. Finding this waiting for me by the door:
I totally spaced it and didn't think to ask Allison if she could bring some Ale8 when she and Jenny came to Chicago, LOL. But hey, they ship UPS! Hehehe, and only $7.75 for 12 glass bottles. :D I'd been meaning to order some for a while, but kept forgetting to do it, and I finally placed an order last week. You got me hooked, Allison, LOL.
2. While we're on the subject of beverages...
New favorite beer. Goose Island is, as you can probably tell, a Chicago brewery - they've been named one of America's 20 best breweries, even, and have earned 21 awards, both national and international for their various beers. The 312 is totally becoming my preferred beer. It's so tasty - it's got a somewhat sweeter taste to it, since it's a wheat ale. And I'm quite interested to try some of their other beers, particularly the Oatmeal Stout, the Harvest Ale, and the Kilgubbin Red Ale. That, and I just adore that the bottles have the Chicago skyline on them.
3. From beverages, to produce...
Mmm, red potatoes. Make my mouth happy.
4. So I really like vintage poster art.
Like this. I actually got this magnet back while Lisa was here, when she and I were at the Museum of Science and Industry, but when I was taking pictures today, I thought I'd snap one of this. Vintage CTA. Aww.
5. Another bit of vintage Chicago-oriented art:
Also got this at the MSI with Lisa. I saw it and knew I had to get it. It's just gorgeous. I lovelovelove the colors.
6. Because I'm a huge geek...
We got our fish fossil kits a couple weeks ago in my Dinosaurs class.
Part of the spine and the beginnings of the ribs. I'm having way too much fun with this, you guys. LOL
