Just wanted to make a post to say Happy Holidays, whatever you may celebrate, to everybody!
My parents and I are having our own little Christmas celebration tonight, opening presents, and then tomorrow morning we're driving to Ohio to spend the weekend with Joyce and my Grandma Howe in Cincinnati. We'll be there until Tuesday, and I'll have limited to no internet, so I hope you all stay well and have a wonderful weekend!
Hilariously, I'm having to move my Christmas tree into the spare bedroom, and my dad had to put a hook latch on the door (it doesn't close right and my dad hasn't had time to fix it yet) so that I can keep Nutmeg away from the tree while we're gone. She's been a real pain lately, going after the lights on the tree, trying to eat the branches, and even raising up on her hind legs and trying to grab at one of the ornaments that she can just barely reach when she raises up like that. I'm just afraid that she'll knock the tree over while we're gone, and almost all of the ornaments on there are breakable. Silly cat. :-P
Speaking of ornaments, I took a few pictures of some of them, so I'll leave you with those. :) Much, much love to you all! ♥
This was given to me by Gaby last year - it's a hand-decorated egg that she bought while she was studying abroad in Austria. You can't see very well, but the egg is painted/dyed a deep blue color, and then the gold glitter obviously on top of it.
Winnie The Pooh ornaments! :D
An ornament picture frame that has a picture of my cat Rosie, who I had while I was growing up. She died several years ago now. She was such a sweet little baby. :)
An ornament of a Beatrix Potter character, but I can't remember which one.
A wood ornament that I believe was something that was made in Maine that my parents or Joyce gave me, but I can't remember for sure.
And another shot of my lovely blue icicle lights in the hallway. ^_^ I love them.
