and so this is christmas

Well, another short entry.  I will hopefully be updating next week with something more substantial.  :)

I'm in Chicago.  Got in Tuesday night, and have been achingly adjusting to my own twin-sized bed like I always have to whenever I come here.  :-P  I can't wait until I get my full sized bed moved back down here.  I got used to the space.  And the lovely pillow-top mattress.

Had Christmas Numero Uno tonight, my parents and I, that is.  Got the new Fiona Apple album, the new David Gray album, and a CD with a collection of Frank Sinatra's best recordings from 1953-1960.  I got The Nightmare Before Christmas on DVD, which I'm totally beside myself over, because I freaking LOVE that movie, hehe.  I also got Ralph Ellison's Invisible Man and a collection of new short stories by Dave Eggers, titled How We Are Hungry.  Frango chocolates, a car charger for my iPod, and a shirt with Celtic artwork on it.

Tomorrow morning, we leave for Indiana to spend Christmas #2 with my Grams.  Then on Monday, we'll head to Cincy to spend Christmas #3 with Joyce and Grandma Howe.  Craziness.  But this is how we've always done it, so I love it nonetheless.

I just wanted to wish you and your families all a very Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, Happy Winter Solstice, Yule...whatever you may celebrate, I hope it treats you well.  I love you all so much.  Take care of yourselves.  :)  I'll be back either Tuesday or Wednesday.  Not sure, hehe.

Lily & Kit:  your presents are definitely not going to be sent until after I get back; I'm sorry about that, but I will try to get them sent out to you ASAP once we get back to Chicago next week.  :)
