FLOWERS, YAY!

I planted some flowers today, weeded and pruned. The weeding about killed me, but the rest was enjoyable. I still have some work to do around the oak tree. I'm planting some periwinkle (vinca major) to take over and spread around to keep out weeds.  And trust me. It will take over.      Planted some lantanas in another bed and a salmon colored geranium in a large pot I have out in front.  I also planted some spreading petunias in a hanging basket for my back porch.

I have a pitiful butterfly bush I planted last year.  I didn't think it made it, but I'm happy to say it is sprouting leaves like crazy.  Maybe it will bloom this year.  It should at the rate it is going, anyway.

I hate to kill my pansies but they look tired and worn out.  It will be too hot for them soon and I should really put them out of their misery, but I just can't.  Not yet.

Oh, and I got some snow on the mountain from my grandmother's yard to put near the hostas. It may not like where I put it though.  It is in a super shady area.

I also cleaned out my 40 gallon aquarium and set back up again.  I'm going to let  the water circulate for a day or so before I add the fish back in.

I've been busy today.  too busy I think.  Time for bed.
