season's greetings

Dec 23, 2006 20:50

we're not all big believers, but i speak for myself. one of my parents is a dissembling roman catholic, while the other harkens back to guthrie his atheist passions. in between i've created a comfortable agnostic belief that invites all faiths while trying to favor, or denounce, none. what follows is my conviction of the communal sense of spirituality: almost every religion i've heard of celebrates the yuletide in one fashion or the other. and if yours doesn't, then my wish applies to yours as well. i think one thing all people have in common is their mortal need for water. unless, of course, you are a god. which you very well may be.

i know it sounds weird, but i would like to take this opportunity, to extend my dear wish for all who are reading, and all who are not, and all who could not possibly due to their not being my spizzle-buddy or having access to the internet (and even those who have not heard of the internet). i would like to make a prayer that everyone on this planet (and any other planet whose beings make a necessity of water) has or finds the water that he or she needs to survive. and may that water be clean, fresh, uncontaminated and refreshing to the very marrow and muck of that soul- whatever be its creed.
