Hobby Stuff
So i started painting my new Dust Tactics Minis. I didn't get very far. I base primered all 6 models this morning and i started working on the Medic for the Command Squad after unsuccessfully doing research on how I wanted to paint the unit from history suggestions. I looked up WW2 uniforms and the majority of the stuff I could find wasn't to my liking. I decided to go with a random pattern design using Rakarth Flesh and Adeptus Battle Grey in an urban camo attempt. Its turning out well so when I'm done with the Medic I will try to remember to post a pic of it here.
Consequently I got a buddy of mine all into it too. I talked to the manager at Dropzone and he said he will reserve 2 copies of the starter boxes for us but they are on backorder. When we go and pick them up we will swap armies (I Axis, him Allies) and we will have at each other. The Manager gave us the simplified rulebook and the rules appear simple but I can tell this game will be difficult to master. A mix I haven't seen since Lotr. Nice =D
In addition I have a friend who I haven't seen in a long while start back up in Fantasy/40k in the local GW. I showed him my Warbands army, which is skaven and my theme for doing a Clan Eshin Army. I had forgotten he did a Clan Eshin army back in the day during Storm Of Chaos. He said he no longer wanted them and would be willing to trade. It will turn out to be over 100 Night Runners which are primers and about 12 assassins. Sweet =D
