What to Do
So my plans to hit the Barite crystlas in Grand Junction is off. Just got a call from the organizer and because of the rains the roads to the sites will be really bad even for 4x4s so he called it off. I know how bad they are as I got stuck for 40 mins 2 years ago on the same trip and there was only a light drizzle all morning, that's how bad the clay gets there.
So was going to leave after work, drive there, get a place that I stay when I went last year to the other mine near the Utah border, eat at yummy Texas Roadhouse etc. Now I have nothing planned for the weekend. Going to probably just get a movie tonight as Girley's got a bad cough so she won't be going anywhere this weekend. I'll get up early tomorrow and check the storm front, might be looking good for a day or even night trip to northern Texas or western Kansas or back into Nebraska. Not sure what to do. I kind of wanted to go out to a club on Sat night as I haven't been in ages, but with the Girley sick she wouldn't be able to go and I hate going to any place by myself, even if I know people there. So we'll see what the hell happens...
