The Miami-Dade government has mailed out a sample
ballot across the county. Voters can make informed decisions ahead of time and be prepared on Election Day. However, there is no information from which to base a decision on! The sample ballot has multiple federal and state representatives but a voter can only choose representatives from where the voter lives. Furthermore, there are a host of judges and convoluted proposals that turn the voting process into a guessing game. The only source of information that was any useful was the local newspapers. The representatives that will show up on the ballot on Election Day can be found on
Sun-Sentinel. I belong to: Congressional District 18, Senate District 039, and House District 117. The other offices and proposals on the ballot are discussed by the
Miami Herald and can be used as a starting point to form opinions. Incorporated cities within the county may also have candidates running for public office.
