Imagine: an Iranian kid just chilling, jamming out to his Ipod. A Venezuelan hottie talking on her Razor. A North Korean dad driving his BMW.

The fact is we live in the information age and globalization is here. A person from India can work in an American engineering firm without leaving his home. A kid in Haiti can take online courses from a math teacher in China.

The only problem is that everyone needs to access the information and technology. No one wants to be left behind while everyone else is partying. If everyone reached for this technology, the world's economy will expand and society would be transformed.

The correct way to transition the global economy would be to encourage fair and free trade. Competition allows people to have money, and to have jobs. When people have money, more options open.

The government's roll is to keep protecting our individual rights, but also protecting us from ourselves. Society has the right to spend money wherever they choose. If society decides to spend money in bad, addicting places, say casinos, then it’s the government's roll to extract revenue from these business in order to provide social programs to help alleviate the problem, like building rehab and correctional facilities. If everyone in society essentially spends their money for good, then there really wouldn’t be need for government. However, there will always be people less fortunate in the world that will need some kind of help from the government.

Republicans fair better on the economy. Bush continuously pushes for free trade, but still keeps civil rights strongly defended.

Democrats should push for MORE civil rights. Democrats need to focus more on issues like relaxation of drug laws. By pushing to legalize black market businesses, Democrats will find the budget needed that can provide government programs to the public.

Sway public opinion! Make the public aware of what’s going on!
