Ode to Santa Claus,Don Juan, and The Brain

It's Santa Claus
With a wide, chipped, grin
A tangled, dirty beard that
used to be white.
He has a big belly-but it isn't as
big as it used to be.
He doesn't have a big bag
full of toys and presents,
but he'll give you his roll
or side salad at dinner.
He'll share his bus schedule...
Or a smile...
His name is Robert.

It's Don Juan
He's tall, dark, and handsome
He stands at the bus stop all day,
getting phone numbers.
He never gets on a bus though.
You can catch him sitting at the hospital cafe,
flirting with the nuses.
He never sees a doctor though.
Sometimes you'll even find him
bathing in public restrooms.
His name is T.J.

It's The Brain
The Brain writes alot of poetry.
He works really hard at school.
He's obsessed with his future.
Driven by the desire to create change.
Classmates whisper about how
he always carries alot of bags...
how he never invites anyone over to study...
how he wears the same jeans everyday...
They don't know his story
But you all do
And now you've heard his poetry.
His name is John.
