Blue Like Jazz

Officially coming home for Wabash graduation to see m'brother.  However, since I know his plans will most likely be either heavy drinking or deep sleeping(one would eventually follow the other).  In case I see a certain someone and his Bolivian lover, I may have to ask Denis if I might borrow his, "Smile if you're gay!" shirt.

I plan on seeing friends.

At this point it looks like I'll be moving down here indefinitely, but coming home for a portion of the summer.  Remains to be seen with a few job offers here.  I wish some of you could come visit; there's this shopping, resteraunt, music area called Westport, it's the Notting Hill of Kansas City.  I remember the first night I went to the Blue Room, a small jazz room connected to the KC Museam of Music.  I sat between two friends and closed my eyes and listened to it live, I've heard jazz before, but this had a effortlessness to it that I hadn't heard before.

"I never liked jazz music because jazz music doesn't resolve. . . . but sometimes you have to watch somebody love something before you can love it yourself.  I used to not like God because God didn't resolve. But that was before any of this happened."
