Ok, so I'm seriously thinking of getting a tattoo of mtDNA, preferably something like this picture. It would be SUPER dorky, but also kind of hot, since all human beings technically share one female ancestor who gave us all our mitochondrial DNA. All extant variation is due only to mutation from a single sequence. I wish I could get the whole damn sequence tattooed on me, but I don't know mine and it's really fucking long.
