hello, 1 year later :)
Holy crap, has it really been a year since I have posted? Wow. I have to say though, I do still log on here every couple weeks and check out my friends list. I think a lot of people just stop posting and it makes me sad -- I used to be a chronic LJ poster several years ago! I need to get back in to blogging on here. It's a great place to use as a private outlet for my thoughts, etc. Here is to hoping I keep that promise!
Anyway.
I guess you could say a lot has happened in a year? Shortly after my last post, I found out I was pregnant :) We were doing the whole "lets not prevent it and see what happens" approach..and after just a couple months, it happened. lol. We (well..I) decided to be surprised on the gender this time around. Surprisingly, it was a lot easier than I thought it would be! I think having a toddler keeping me busy on a daily basis made it easier to wait.
I went 3 days past my due date this time, and on June 23rd 2014, our beautiful baby boy, Benjamin Ryan was born :) If you want to read his birth story, check out my public blog --> http://b00kends.blogspot.com/.
Audrey is doing great, except for refusing to potty train, she is learning new things every day and always keeping us laughing...she's a little trying at times, but I guess that is to be expected from a 2.5 year old! She's adjusting much better to not being an only child anymore. The first several weeks were pretty rough. She acted out a lot and many tantrums were had. Now, she'll act out on occasion and does get a little jealous, but she's doing much better. Now that Ben has been here for 3 months, I am pretty accustomed to juggling both kids all day and have fallen into a routine during the weekdays. Life with 2 kids gets easier every day.
Ryan started a new job in March. He does billing coordinating for a big law firm here. He doesnt really care for the job, but he's never been much of a desk job person. But, it pays the bills and we have benefits. He's always on the look out for different opportunities though, so who knows where he'll be career wise in the near future!
I'm still at my job, working from home. I took five weeks off after Ben was born, and it was rough going back. Mostly because I was enjoying spending evenings with Ryan and the kids, and having my weekends free to do whatever I wanted! Oh well..gotta make the money somehow! I've been back for almost 2 months now, and its been fine. Ryan has both kids at night, and I have to give him major props because Ben is fussy at night and not easy to put to sleep if you don't have boobs :p
I have more to update on, but my shift at work just ended and I'm about to sign off here. I promise to write more frequently. I've missed this!!
