FSJ

there have been a few good stories i've read today regarding Fake Steve Jobs. FSJ is, a blogger of still-unknown identity who assumes the persona of the founder and CEO of Apple, RSJ (real Steve Jobs).

First, a positively upper-level undergrad analysis from a C|Net blogger (who'd have thought!!) regarding the anachronism that is the extended satire and social commentary in serial format. the pull quote:
....he as-yet-unmasked Fake Steve Jobs is a shady anachronism in a world where we're supposed to be able to find all the answers at broadband speed.

brilliant!!!

the second story is more peripheral, perhaps more interesting if you've been vaguely aware of the various outing attempts the "blog-o-sphere" has been making lately to unmask FSJ. this one is a hilarious denial of FSJ-dom by one of the best guesses.

anyways, if you're aware of any of the public personas that have been invented for Steve Jobs, then the latter article is worth a read. to sum up, you should probably just start reading the FSJ blog. maybe you should start with this classic from the iPhone launch day.
