An episode oops or an in-joke?
Some of you may be questioning just how old Claudia is. Even I thought I had it down packed. But tonight's episode made me wonder a little.
In "MacPherson", when Artie is about to leave with Pete & Myka, he makes a remark about Claudia's age being 16. Claudia immediately corrects him and says she's 19. But this can't be if we take into consideration everything else that's already been laid out for us. First off, in "Claudia", Mrs. Fredericks tells Pete & Myka that Joshua disappeared 12 years ago. In that same episode, Joshua and Artie are talking and Joshua says that Claudia 'doesn't get the concept of being 10'. We know Joshua gets 'stuck' that very same day because all of their outfits are the same and there's no mention of it being a different day, so we know for sure that Claudia is 10 there. Then if we consider what Mrs. Fredericks said, the events of "Claudia" happen 12 years later, which would make Claudia 22.
What I'm trying to get at here is: either the writers/Allison were making an in-joke because Allison just turned 19 yesterday, or they made a mistake. I'm personally viewing it as an in-joke because they seem way too good to make a slip-up like that. What do you think?
