Ah, I feel refreshed and ready to actually put something in here. I think it's been close to a month or so...I don't know how long it's been since I have updated this thing.
Here's the short version of my life recently:
The most important thing is that Beth came down, faulty directions and a little bit of confusion, but she made it here anyway. (this is all following a random trip up to Jackson about 3 weeks or so ago; nothing like driving all the way from 2:30am until 7:50am and end up almost 400 miles from where you started...it needed to be done though...I'm not crazy...only about her) I experienced the squirrel costume first hand and I loved it, very very sexy I might add. Steven was there and he tackled me as soon as he saw me; I was surpised, but happy to see him. After that we went and got ready to go to Doubleplay (bar in Montevallo), it took us forever to actually go though. Turns out that there really wasn't anybody there. I had a good time talking to this kid named Jonathan and meeting Richie and a few more of Beth's friends. Got to dance for the first time at a bar, that was nice.
Friday we went to Hoover and I took my baby out to Guadalajara, her favorite. Saw the movie Elizabethtown and I liked it...didn't know what to expect, but its a great date movie. Ended up going to see Sister Hazel and Michael Tolcher in Montevallo. Tolcher was a lot better than expected and Hazel was absolutely amazing! They played all my and her favorite songs, especially "Beautiful Thing" (I was extremely excited when they started to play the intro to it; it's my favorite song by them and it's mine and Beth's "song" so it was good) Trent Friday, you're the man! Trent was also nice enough to call us after the show and tell us that Hazel was doing a meet and greet, so Beth and I jetted back over to the gym and caught up with Ken Block right before he was leaving and we got our picture taken with him! It was an absolutely wonderful day! We basically spent the drive back to Auburn just talking to eachother, no music or anything. Just taking some much needed time to sit and enjoy what the other person had to say and what was on their mind. Not to mention act like total hicks in the hick capital of the world, Jemison, AL. I can never look at the gas station the same ever again...or that exit off of I-65 south the same ever again.
I hate John Vaughn! 1 for 6 it's all your damn fault so go to Hell!!!!! I'm never getting over that one. Not to mention the fact that Alabama won a cheap ass game, you not a good TEAM when you OFFENSE wins 6-3. They have a good defense though...hate to admit it. And don't even bring up the fact that their kicker made his kick...no, screw you! It was a home field advantage (Ole Miss has artificial turf much easier to kick off of) and the wind wasn't swriling at over 28 MPH like it was down in Red Stick. And also, go to hell Skyler Green, and cut your damn hair!!!
OK, I've vented, I'm good now. It still doesn't matter b/c Bama is not going to come in here and win in Jordan Hare, so end of story, they can't do it. After a trip to Taco Bell and an emotional roller coaster and a night of just drinking to ease my mind, I sit here in a clean and re-organized room (thanks baby) wondering when I'll get to see her again. I miss her already and yet when it comes to family and school and work there is still so much to be done before I can make another trip up there. She never gets to come down anymore, this weekend was so special and I'm very thankful for it and for her. She forgot a few things though, definately have to get KATHRYN to mail it back to her seeing as how she stayed with her... ;)
Oh yeah I got up and did some work outs today and then went and ran a lap. It hurt because the air is cold and the wind was blowing and it was rough...that's not the bad part though. No, I decieded to do some sprints and stuff. Yeah bad idea. I did two. One to one end of the flag football field and then one back. I felt sick and I sat there and puked my guts out for what felt like an eternity. I guess that's what I get for doing all of that with nothing but a little bit of Powerade in my stomache. So I've learned my lesson.
