so, this morning (katespeak: afternoon), i woke up to a knock on the door. being naked, i dind't quite get there in time to see who it was, but through the little peephole, i noticed something laying in front of the door. so i open it and there's this note...
"hi (oh) kate!!! knew you had to have it. -kb"
...and underneath the note was a copy of the issue of spin wth the pixies on the cover. :) i usually hate spin, but that was a damn good story. very sweet of kurt, too. i need to get dressed so i can run over there and smoke a big fat bowl of thanks.
in other pixies news, one month and four days until the concert!!! i'm sitting here listening to "death to the pixies", the live disc (many thanks to something_neat), just wishing it were right now.
equanimity sent me a crude, unedited photo of my corset yesterday afternoon, and i would like to post it, but she said that the colours were a bit too dark and it's blurry, and she's right. so i'm not going to post it now. i mean, i know that it looks cool. i can tell from the picture, but i think the rest of you would be all like, "huh? that's supposed to be the cool thing she's been talking about? shyeah, right." so i'm going to wait until there's a better picture or until i get it to show you. just take my word...it's super cool! :)
HEY! been tryin' to meet ya. :)
so...i went out with chris and got some amazing hibachi last night in celebration of being alive. one of my favourite things about being alive is being able to eat amazing food. we finished off our evening by drinking blue yummy alcoholic stuff and watching "the day after tomorrow". the movie sucked, but the storm shots were cool. i wish they would have focused more on the storm than the lame people that tried to give it a plot. although, jake however-the-fuck-you-spell-his-last-name (y'know, donnie darko, haha) was in the movie and he's pretty cute. so that's a plus. it didn't make up for the shitty plot though.
