I don't know about you, but I'm so excited about this week's European elections I'm even considering voting in them. Imagine that! Of course, participating in an election is a serious business, and one should never do so without making a careful assessment of the various candidates and their policies. The existence of a Scargillite cadre in deepest Holderness comes as a surprise; Thorngumbald is the kind of place where the workers' soviet would vote Conservative even if the Great People's Revolution came to the East Riding. I guess that's why the Muirs are on the London slate.

Well they get around, do the Muirs. Between them they've stood in Glasgow North West, Leeds North East, Hull East, South of Scotland and Highlands & Islands. Linda once got 2.7% of the vote in Hull East, although Colin tends to score under 1%. I don't know if this is down to the nature of their respective would-be constituencies, or whether Linda is simply a vastly superior orator.

This is a picture of Dinti Batstone holding some Energizer batteries. I can't say for certain that those toys belong to Dinti, but I wouldn't be altogether happy voting for her if they did.
