What do you believe?

We believe what we want to believe!  We want to keep believing what we do believe!  Sometimes, this clouds are judgment!

Is this thinly-veiled commentary on the Obama administration?

Actually, no, but I suppose it does apply. It came about during a discussion with a friend about Sarah Palin. Does that spur more questions?

No, it makes a lot of sense, actually.

You don't have a clue! It doesn't directly apply to her or what she did, as much as it does to how certain people responded ( ... )

You're right, I wasn't able to extrapolate that you were referring to talk show hosts, but I did get the basic message of those who support her want to believe that she can lead the party to victory in 2012 and those who hate her think she can't even get out the door without hurting herself.

I agree she's guilty of dereliction of duty, but I also think that with as many people that support her, she can rally the base and educate the general populace. If she does rally the base and gets Conservatives and Libertarians to go out and vote for her, then I think that she can win in 2012. The hell with what Liberals think. They aren't going to vote for her anyway, so why does it matter?

I don't think I could vote for her. I really, really like her, but she QUIT. The only good reason for her to do that is for family reasons, and if that is the case, she better be out of politics for the next 5-10 years, which means 2012 is out of the question.

Anyway, the thought applies to much more than just politics. Religion, relationships, and more. We as humans seem to have a hard time of looking at both sides of any story.

Or accepting responsibility.

When you reward irresponsible people, you create more of them. When you punish responsible people, you create fewer of them.

Why would anyone want to accept responsibility?

Ahh, my next thought of the day.

I have a future post on this subject, and it involves a single, easy-to-understand concept: Good vs. Evil.

But its going to be a real bear to write up, trust me.

That's my answer and I'm sticking to it.
