One of my favorite parts of the day happens right before I go to bed each night. I've made it a matter of routine to check on my boys in their bedroom. The kids are usually always asleep and never now I check on them. The other night I went in to check on them. Its my favorite time of the day with the kids. I'm responsible for baths & bedtime. I read to them both every night and no matter what kind of day they've had, their troubles are washed away when they snuggle next to me for bedtime reading.

I love it.

I must admit, sometimes getting them ready for bed isn't so fun, but I do enjoy reading to them, and tucking them in.

Ain't life grand? I just love being a parent. Bedtime at your house sounds like a wonderful experience. Hold them close, before long they will be 14!

14!! I hope that the time I spend with them now will make it so they want to spend time with me when they are 14. I CAN wait, but I'll be excited to play board games with them when they get older. My LOTR Risk board is sitting in my closet waiting for that day. For now it is Sorry, SkibBo, Candy Land, Memory...
