Well Then...
For those curious, it is official. I have come home from a vacation over Christmas to discover that work has -indeed- terminated my position. They decided to let me know via certified letter. Rather wish they'd given me the simple courtesy of a phone call as I could have stayed down with my family for longer and seen my niece rather than drive home early to go back to work.
I was planning on job hunting when I got back anyway, this just really makes things a little more complicated. I've talked with some peeps who have some lines of jobs for me, so things aren't looking too bad at the moment. Things are just going to be financially tight for a little while.
The fact that the CEO and one of the VPs was fired prior to me going on vacation had me fairly nervous. Seems it was for good reason.
This is a grand total of 9 people fired from the Association in the last year, and I have to say only one of them really seemed to be with a valid cause. I really shouldn't be surprised; but I am a bit. I expected better of these people.
And now...back to the job hunt.
