[The feed cut in to the bottom half of a man's face. His mouth is twisted into a grimace of concentration, and for a few long moments he seems to be only fiddling with buttons. Then, a look of realization! He rights the camera and it focuses on his face]

Is this... recording me?

[It takes a few moments for the idea to settle. A bare bitter smirk

I feel rather... alive, for this being some kind of after-life.

Well, the Barge does try to provide creature comforts.

How nice. I'm also appreciating the 'no irons and chains' bit. For a prison ship, it's rather hospitable.

It's really more of a rehabilitation center!

There's 'looking on the bright side' and then there is plainly ignoring what is right in front of you. A tricky line not to cross, really.

I am quite aware of what is in front of me.

You are not here to be punished or contained. You are here for a purpose, to improve yourself. When it is fulfilled, you will be released to anywhere you care to go, with the Admiral's blessing. How long that takes is up to you.

[wardennolonger]

You seem to place a lot of trust in this Admiral fellow. Are you sure that's wise?

[strangehstorian]

He has not broken any promises yet.
