So, normally, when I see a bad flag in-game, I generally either laugh about it to myself, sigh and walk away, or pretend I never saw it in the first place.
This one, though, struck a chord. Maybe I haven't been paying attention, but I have to admit, I haven't come across the crown jewel in this suck.

also I've heard the actual ingame VAs pronounce it both sin dorAY and sin dorEYE. with the former sung for the Musically Inclined Sylvanas bit.
Regional/class-based elven accents?

I would actually agree with you as far as accents go, since I have heard them pronounced both ways myself. It's just like real life, we all have our own specific ways of pronouncing things differently from one region to another. So, I would see the same thing holding true in a fictional universe.
Though, I'm a little uppity with it comes to placing an apostrophe in "Kaldorei". Simply because when the Night Elves were written in, it didn't exist. If one is playing a Night Elf, and they want to be "politically correct" or whatever you want to call it - no apostrophe! But Blizz and their stealth apostrophes can be very sudden and surprising. -suits up and pulls out umbrella-

Fanon? YAYFANON.
And I know, we all have our peeves, it's just not one of mine anymore lolz. I understand it can grate, in buildup with other minor things if nothing else. Politically correct is...eh. It's about accuracy for me.
somewhere there's an essay on making "alien" names and apostrophes in im'prop'r places is addressed. I should find that.
