So after the lastest round of Info from the Beta, I had another random gigglefit as I considered the concequences for (bad) RP.

I play a Scarlet, but I'm actually glad to hear about this. So Many guilds on my server play Scarlets and almost all of them gravitate towards the Cathedral of Light--in Stormwind. o_o My Scarlet doesn't even go into the cities, because he knows people there strongly disagree with his beliefs. Plus he thinks they’re tainted and filled with damnation. He’s warped but not stupid.

Then again, he's pretty out there even for a Scarlet. He’s so bent upon reclaiming his homeland and decimating the scourge, that he’s been known to attack and capture capable fighters. He tries to force them to help him fight using manipulation and engineered devices. It should be noted, that he is less than successful.

I've planned to have the Scarlets kick him out at some point--for imprisoning/experimenting with people, rather than killing them outright. I mean, killing random intruders outright is what a good Scarlet would do. They wouldn’t try to capture a humanoid and then affix it with random engineered devices, for the intent of adding numbers to their war effort. In their eyes, he’s wasting a LOT of time with frivolous things.

If I hadn’t planned to have him kicked out, then it could have been fun to see how he took the news, since currently he’s not at any of the Scarlet bases. My scarlet: “Hey guys! I’m pretty close to solving the problem… guys? ._. Fuuuuuuuuu---“

I'm gonna disagree with you there on the reason for him being potentially kicked out. Go into Scarlet Monastary and look at the torture rooms they have set up, along with that poor Forsaken bastard who is strapped to a table. They even have a character in there that is a master torturer, Interrogator Vishas.

I mean, sure, I don't think they'd take kindly to his engineering experiments ("Engineering is the DEVIL!" comes to mind) but the imprisoning and torturing method seems to be Infidel Tested, Scarlet Approved.

I agree with you that interrogation wouldn't be frowned upon. Heck, even torture. Scarlets are known for being pretty well into the sadistic territory. Take one look at their initiation and you see that.

However, this particular Scarlet is becoming so involved in his inventions that he's losing sight of his mission. He's not following orders.

Yes, he believes as the Scarlets believe. He is insanely devoted to destroying the undead at all costs and restoring his homelands to their former glory. Slowly but surely though, he's made up his mind that he knows a better way to bring about their goals. XD It's a huge clash of interests.

As you can probably imagine, it won't be the -only- reason he's kicked out. o.o Though, perhaps you're right and I should think of a better break. *nods and rubs chin thoughtfully* I'd intended for it to be more of a "oh wow, yeah, that -would- get him kicked out." sort of thing. XD

Ahh, gotcha. Otherwise, he sounds like an interesting character.
