(no subject)
I just wanted to say a quick thanks to Lauren for the birthday card she made me. Sorry we didn't get to come by for your party - but there will be others (who knows, we may even host one.... *gasps*)
on another note, I have to register my appreciation of the fact that your last name is (pardon me in advance for any misspellings - I'm Macfarlane, so I know what it means to get your name misspelled by everyone who ever tries to write it down) McChesney. I know it sounds weird, but after going to BC every day, where it seems like every fricking student has a name that falls between A and K (you'd figure that a school founded for Irish students who couldn't get into Harvard might have a smattering of "Mc/Mac"'s in it, but no), it feels strangely good to find someone else with a last name that doesn't sound like something out of a WB drama.
I know it sounds stupid. but it's actually true. And to prove it I just looked up my course roster for my art class - out of 20 people, 15 of them come before the letter H.
so anyhow, thanks for the card, Lauren. your last name (and excellent penmanship) has given me a nice boost before bedtime. which i need. because i'm sick. *coughs*
