Endings...
well, its that time of year again. Season or series enders on the boom tube. Oh just to start off...THE WB SUCKS MAJOR ASS!!! those dips would'nt know what quality TV was if it came up and bit them in the ole backend. Yes i am talking about Angel, its sereies ends in a couple of weeks. I am sadden by this that where will be no more buffy universe. I was never addicted to the show like am to Buffy and its reruns, but i do like the universe and the quality you can see in each episode. Yet this show is getting hardly any promotion from the big wigs that it is going.
Fraiser is another show that i didnt totally watch but still entertained when i watch it. It will be sad to see this one go i think in that we have seen frashier on TV for over a decade ever since Cheers was on the air. Seeing Fraisier go is like saying good bye to a friend who has just been there since forever but yet you dont know them as well as you liked and wish you had. This one i watched religiously the first few years but then got caught up in other things. I tuned in when i could remember what day it was on since they switched it every year it seemed.
Then there is Friends...god every other commercial is that one minute long flash of video from previous episodes and some from the one the coming. The song playing in the background is now stuck in my head and the announcers voice booming over saying "say good bye to your friends this thursday" im just like o..k...thats great but do i really have to see it every commercial break?? I guess what bothers me is that NBC is loseing not just this show but Frasier which has been getting good critical feel this season since getting back some of the original writters. Yet what do we see is a 10 second spot of basically "oh its leaving too, later". I'm sorry but friends stopped being funner after the 4th or 5th season, and was only recently funny in its 7th when Rachel was preggers. I guess i do laugh when i watch, not as much as i use to but i do.
My beef i think is that yes, Friends was a good show, and after ten years that is a milestone, but there are far more better quality shows out there that deserve soo much more than just being brushed under the rug and just forgotten.
I just don't like goodbyes really and im just reeling from Buffy last year and now Angel along with Frasier...and i guess Friends, oh you bet ill watch each of these endings just to see what happens. Cry factor won't happen on all of them, Angel..depends, i probably will...Frasier i might if i have what i feel is gonna happen...Friends, eh more than likely just in that i'll miss some of the characters that you get use to.
Anyways, thats my beef and my rant hehe if anyone still reads this journal. Goodbyes just suck, even to those that you dont know a whole lot.
