"You have to eat a lot of fudge because..." "Keeps me from going blind."

I can steal an internet signal from the gay bar across the street when I'm at the Williamson St. Amsterdam location. I've been watching Black Books on Hulu the whole time I've been here. It's hilarious and the perfect dose of British comedy that I needed. Americans haven't gotten their hands on this one yet and I don't think they could do it properly.

The Halloween party Dan and I went to, we were dressed as Cosmo and Wanda from Fairly Oddparents so he was a fairy with green hair. We walked in and one of my friends came up to him with a glass of Absinthe and said, "Oh my god, I found the green fairy!"

Since the end of October I've had at least one day off a week, if not two, and it's been so nice to actually have time to get my apartment together. We moved in August and I still have half a room of boxes untouched. Well, rifled through then re-stacked really.
I love love love our apartment and have felt kind of bad about not taking better care of it. I went out and got picture hooks so I can hang my paintings. My goal is to have everything at least unpacked, if not put away, by the first. I have Friday off so that will have to be the day it gets done. Maybe I should work on it a little on Thursday before the New Year's Eve party so I don't feel the pressure to do it with a hangover.

The New Year's Eve party Dan and I are going to is a black tie, pre-resolution party. There will be only rich, indulgent foods and plenty of alcohol to consume before you get down to trying to eat less, smoke less, drink less, swear less, whatever.

My only goals this coming year are to get healthier whether I lose weight or not and to figure out a plan to finish my degree.

Tonight a few friends of mine and I are getting together to hula hoop. Kate knows how and she'll be helping Geneve and me figure out how to do it finally. I've heard it's easy once you get the jist of it and I'm hoping it'll be as fun as it looks when everyone else does it.

I'm off to close the store and figure out what to make for dinner.
