(no subject)
I type this from my room, once again forbidden to leave until school tomorrow. My mom had the gall to say "Bless you" to my sister after she sneezed and I was in the room, a blatant attempt to provoke me. Needless to say, my pointed yet insightful observations about her intellectual capacity and sincere attempts at a rational debate (heh, mayhap one-sided on the rationality?) were brutishly shut down, her simplemindedness no doubt recalling a biblical story of Jesus sending his son to his room or some such non-sense.
The Bible-belt? Not even close, I'm in New York! If being a freethinker is this dangerous here, I shudder to think of the lives my fellow Brights must be eeking out south of Pennslyvania. I thought things would be different once Obama was elected, but obviously not. I may have to finally make good on my threat to move to Canada, the only truly enlightened place (legal weed, etc...) on this continent.
