Well, I'm back! It was great, your icon really looks like what goes on when you can see him at graduation, lol.
When they graduate, the ceremony seems kinda long. First off, get there to the base ASAP in the morning. There are posts that mark off where his division will be standing, and you will want a seat in the front. I got there at 8:00 and ended up in the back. As far as lodging, I stayed at the Navy Lodge with his mom. It's about $61 per night for a two bed. I would highly reccommend staying there, not only because of the great service, but it is super close to the base where you will be picking up your sailor. (only about 5 minutes) We also rented a car, which I also reccommend but taxi's would be okay as well, I suppose. You can rent a car on base for much less that off base. Either one is fine, but it's easy to get lost and waste time driving around. It was such a memorable weekend, and the pride I have in my sailor grew immensely when I saw him marching with his division. I hated coming back. Believe me, it feels like when he first left for boot. That's the only thing...it brings tears to my eyes. Atleast they get to talk to you more on the phone and what-not. Oh, and also, try to find out when he is leaving for A-School after boot, because mine leaves on Wednesday and has more liberty till then, so I could have stayed a lil' longer, atleast to go on base and hang out with him. Let me know if you need anything. December seems real far away, I know, but, like all the ladies say, it goes by fast.
